The Ampabame No. 2 D/A School on 17th May, 2024 celebrated the school’s 60 years Anniversary and the theme for the program was “A Journey through decades celebrating Sixty years of Educational Excellence”
Akyamfoↄ Asafo Boakye Agyemang-Bonsu was a Guest of honor for the anniversary, not to grace the occasion as an indigene and overlord of the town Ampabame No. 2 but also an old student of the school graduating with the class of 1974. Among the dignitaries present were Chairman for the occasion George Kusi Asafo Agyei (Office of the Presidency-Accra), Mr. Prince Karikari (District Chef Executive-Atwima Kwanwoma District), Mrs. Doris Ofori (Director of Education-Atwima Kwanwoma District) Madam Margaret Konamah (Regional Director National Commission for Civic Education-N.C.C. E).
The anniversary was a week-long program commencing with the float and launching all through to the grand durbar and fund raising for the final day.
The school through the Headmistress Madam Patricia Apau among others requested for a 3 Storey building classroom block and assistance for the school. Akyamfoↄ through his speech pledged to build the ground floor of the classroom block requested by the school, 5 laptops with wi-fi internet connection and construct 1 borehole for the school. The program was ended with fund raising of which Akyamfoↄ donated GHS 20,000.00 to the school.
