The Otumfoͻ Akwamu/Asafohene Akyamfoͻ Asafo Boakye Agyemang-Bonsu on Friday, 30th September 2022 represented His Royal Majesty Otumfoͻ Osei Tutu II at the Investiture and Swearing-in of Chancellor Dr. Kwame Addo Kuffour at the Kumasi Technical University (K.T.U).
Among the dignities present was the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H. E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,
Former President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Agyekum Kufour,
Hon. Prof. Mike Oquaye Former Speaker of Parliament of Republic of Ghana, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu the Majority Leader of Parliament/M.P. Suame constituency, Sam E. Jonah Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast (U.C.C) and others.
Akyamfoͻ in his speech given on behalf of Otumfoͻ said among others that “I will speak with affiliation and affection that Otumfoͻ would have had and shown to his own son Dr. Kwame Addo Kuffour being the first Chancellor of this University and to say Kwame, congratulations for this great honor you have made or done not only to yourself and to the family but to Asanteman, congratulations and know that you are a great achiever listening to your inaugural speech, I have seen and heard the vision you have for this great institution and we will be looking forward to the transformation and the dreams you have had in terms of what you have stated in your inaugural statement. We want to see Kumasi Technical University become the greatest and therefore under your leadership as Chancellor of this University, we the Ashantis, we the people of Kumasi and of course the people of Ghana will be made proud, congratulations and thank you very much”.
The program was brought to a successful end with a tune of the Ghana National Anthem from the Ghana Armed Forces.
