THE OTUMFOↃ COMMUNITY READING CHALLENGE FINALS, 24

Akyamfoↄ on behalf of His Royal Majesty Otumfoↄ Osei Tutu II graced the Otumfoↄ Community Reading Challenge Finals.

The event was organized by the Otumfoↄ Osei Tutu II Foundation to celebrate literacy among young students in the Ashanti Region and Ghana at large, it aims to promote bilingual proficiency and foster a deeper appreciation for both English language and our Local dialect (for that matter Twi reading in Akan society) among Junior High School Students.

As part of the ongoing Silver Jubilee Celebrations marking His Royal Majesty’s remarkable reign, the Foundation organized the Otumfoↄ Community Reading Challenge in all Districts, Municipals and Metropolitan Education Directorates of the Ashanti Region to which the competition had 60 champions with 5 of them qualifying to the finals after the knockout stages. Francis Osei Boamah of Nkwantakese D/A JHS at Afiagya Kwabre District was adjourned the winner for the competition.

The event which was held at the Jubilee Hall, Manhyia on Friday 20th September, 2024 was designed to honor His Royal Majesty’s enduring commitment to education, culture and the upliftment of his community.
