The 2023 Annual Report continues to document and further affirm my vision for continues improvement, effective leadership and the quest for good governance and sustainable development of the Asafo Community – development that is people centered and which promotes transparency, accountability and eschews intergenerational equity. Restoration of the Asafo community and the dignity of its people remains an important cornerstone of the work of the Akwamu Divisional Council which I lead. We will strive to ensure that all manner of the people, irrespective of creed, gender, and status, receive fair, timely and just treatment in line with what the psalmist talks about regarding God’s statement to earthly rulers about justice, and here I quote: “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked?…. Give justice to the weak and the fatherless, maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked” (Ps. 82: 2 – 4). As usual the 2023 Annual Report covers the major activities and events that the division participated in. I hope all stakeholders will find this year’s report informative. We welcome any feedback that will assist us in improving both the qualitative and quantitative data and information provided herein. I hope the 2023 Annual Report inspires many that read it.
